April is Earth Month, and Pitt is hosting opportunities to get involved with sustainability all month.

It’s also the perfect time to read up on the newly released and provide your input on the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø’s efforts with the .

You could design Pitt’s official reusable bag for the 2023-24 year. In addition to having their art displayed across campus, the chosen artist will win prizes worth $500. Submit your design by April 18.

The Pitt Farmers Market is back — local vendors will be at the William Pitt Union Plaza every Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. offering fresh produce, baked goods and other mouth-watering treats. Don’t forget to bring your reusable bags.

Learn about the various trees that call Pitt home on a on April 14. From prehistoric species to a redwood previously believed extinct for 20 million years, gain a greater appreciation for our majestic neighbors. Space is limited and registration is required for the tours, which start at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.

Two events on April 21 will celebrate innovation and accomplishments in sustainability at Pitt. At noon, the 16th annual will showcase recent green projects. After, the winners of the will be recognized with a luncheon.
