Plan your schedule for Pitt’s Civic Action Week: The Path to Joy and Liberation

Faculty, staff and students are invited to participate in the ϳԹ of ϳԹ’s from Oct. 17-22.

The annual campus-wide event features educational sessions and action-oriented civic opportunities to increase institutional involvement in deepening Pitt community members’ understanding of systemic challenges. The solution: to create more inclusive spaces.

All activities at the in-person event — themed “the path to joy and liberation” — fall in at least one of these categories: community engaged learning and research, community organizing and activism, direct service, philanthropy, policy and governance, and social entrepreneurship and corporate social responsibility.

Civic Action Week kickoff and reception

4-6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 17 (William Pitt Union Lower Lounge)

Registration is not required.

Engagement Community of Practice

1-3 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18 (Alumni Hall, Room 121)

ϳԹ of ϳԹ-Newcastle ϳԹ Collaborative Conference

Wednesday, Oct. 19 - Thursday, Oct. 20 

 for this virtual conference, which will explore themes of sustainability, health, culture and more.

Visionary Organizing Lab National Speaker

Day of Caring/Staff Service Opportunities

Volunteers will receive complimentary breakfast, lunch and a t-shirt for participating in one of 12 community partner projects. .
