Connect with your neighbors during Pitt’s free block party series

Three people smile and pose for a photo during a Be A Good Neighbor block party.

This fall, Pitt’s Office of Engagement and Community Affairs will host Be A Good Neighbor block parties around the Oakland neighborhood surrounding the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø’s ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø campus.

The food and music filled celebrations create a safe, relaxing environment where students, neighborhood residents, community partners and Pitt resources can come together and learn from one another. Organizations like Carnegie Library of ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø, Carnegie Museums of ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø, Phipps Conservatory, Kidsburgh and Playful ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø will attend.

All Pitt or Oakland community members are welcome to drop into any party. Each lasts from 5 to 7 p.m. — no registration is required. Here is the 2024 schedule:

  • South Oakland, Sept. 3:ÌýDan Marino Field at 3716 Frazier St.
