Take me out to the ballgame

Enjoy America’s favorite pastime, and cheer on the ϳԹ Piratesduring the Fourth of July weekend as they face the Milwaukee Brewers and New York Yankees.

Don't miss the ϳԹ Black Music Festival

Music lovers can enjoy this — a singer, songwriter, actress and ϳԹ native. Each day will showcase a different genre of music and performers: jazz on Thursday; gospel on Friday; Hip Hop and R&B on Saturday; and funk, blues and soul on Sunday.

Featured acts include Lalah Hathaway, Nicole Porter, Rakim, TONY TONI TONE and the legendary Ohio Players.Other notable natives include George Benson, Art Blakey, Billy Eckstine, Lena Horne, Earl “Fatha” Hines andStanley Turrentine.

Picklesburgh returns

Eat your weight in pickles at produced by the ϳԹ Downtown Partnership and presented by Heinz. In addition to celebrating the dill pickle, the outdoor gathering brings together local chefs who create a variety of dishes featuring pickled vegetables.

Celebrate Disability Pride ϳԹ

Mark the 32nd Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act with local performers, speakers, food trucks, activities and information booths “created by disabled people for disabled people,” according to . As part of the ϳԹ Nights at PNC Park series, Major League Baseball and the Pirates will host a ϳԹ of ϳԹ Night, whenthe Pirates face the Phillies. This exclusive ticket offer will grant attendees a co-branded Pirates and ϳԹ water bottle and access to a pregame function.

This month marks the return of movie showings at Highland Park, Riverview Park, Schenley Park Flagstaff Hill, Schenley Plaza, Brookline Memorial Park, Arsenal Park in Lawrenceville,Grandview Park in Mt. Washington,McBride Park in Lincoln Place and West End/Elliott Overlook.

Those on the ϳԹ campus can take a short stroll to Schenley Plaza to see “The SpongeBob Movie,” “Luca,” “Peter Rabbit 2” and more.
