Another Pitt Homecoming for the books the record books, that is.

Running back Israel Abanikanda led Pitt Football to a 45-29 victory over Virginia Tech on Saturday, breaking a program record by running for 320 yards. The win ensured that Homecoming 2022 ended with victory lights.

Events for students kicked off Oct. 3 and continued with a scavenger hunt, painting night and other social events. Halftime at Acrisure Stadium also featured this years Spirit of Pitt awardees, students Bea Amsalu and George Barakat.

Meanwhile, alumni returning to campus reconnected with classmates, listened to TED-style Roc Talks and celebrated this years slate of awardees with the 窪蹋勛圖厙 Alumni Association.

Other time-honored traditions stayed strong, including a firework and laser show.
