Citing the essential role that nurses have played in the COVID-19 pandemic, for the first time, the report includes a ranking of undergraduate nursing programs. Pitts Bachelor of Nursing degree is listed No. 7 among 694 schools. Several other Pitt programs are also listed in the top 100 nationally: business (No. 49), undergraduate engineering (No. 56) and computer science (No. 60). Overall, Pitt ranked No. 59.
Ranking methodology for 2022 changed, since many universities including Pitt adopted test-optional policies during the pandemic. Schools that reported ACT/SAT scores for at least 50% of new entrants this year received full credit; in previous years, the threshold was 75%.
