As part of the Year of Engagement, Pitt is hosting a year-long program on engaged scholarship for faculty, graduate students and postdoctoral scholars called the  (ESDI). The initiative includes monthly open workshops, access to a Canvas site with a curated library of resources and a summer design intensive in May 2021 for select participants.
The first workshop in the series, , for faculty and postdocs, will take place on Monday, Dec. 14, from noon to 1:30 p.m. It’s an opportunity to learn the basics of engaged scholarship: key concepts, common models, the importance of reciprocal partnerships and the various products and outcomes. (A section for graduate students took place in November; if interested grad students were not able to attend, they are welcome to register and attend the Dec. 14 section.)
