Registration Is Open for the Mentoring and Advising Summit

The ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø’s fourth annual  will take place virtually on Thursday, March 11, 2021, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. All who advise, mentor or coach students, including members of faculty, staff and administration, as well as graduate students or researchers, are encouraged to participate. The summit is hosted annually by the Office of the Provost, and this year’s event is open to attendees from outside institutions also.

The event will explore how to continue to build a strong culture of inclusion in mentoring and advising work. Featured topics will include mentoring and advising in the midst of COVID-19, creating ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø-wide advisor support systems, and leveraging technology to improve advising. Dedicated tracks and tags in the agenda for the day will allow participants to customize their summit experience in order to get the most out of the event.

Participants will have opportunities to network with colleagues at Pitt and beyond to explore best practices, get up-to-date information on trends and share innovative solutions and strategies for success.
